Our mission is threefold:
To amplify and celebrate African history, heritage and culture.
Yuniya is committed to addressing critical global issues using storytelling as an instrument of change. However, our mission extends beyond storytelling as we strive to connect diverse communities with nature and foster a more inclusive dialogue around climate conversation.
To empower young black voices.
Building blocks
To build this space, we settled on three non-negotiables:
First, a "less is more" philosophy to storytelling that doesn't overwhelm- stories in a bite-sized consumable format.
Second, fun! Retell and celebrate Africa's stories in fun, engaging ways.
The third is a positive, supportive community.
