Pachu
Storytelling our Way Home
Pachu: meaning Home. A word used among the Luo people, a nilotic ethnic group native to Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, particularly in the northern and eastern regions bordering Kenya.
This is a call to reconnect with ancestry, dreaming, and imagination through the ancient art of storytelling.
How do we engage with the present? What insights can stories offer us? What does it mean to activate the storytelling 'muscle'?
Welcome to Pachu where we explore the significance of connecting or reconnecting with myths and folktales.
Myths and Folktales
What if every monster creature held a secret within? Do deities willingly suffer, or are they emotionally or spiritually compelled to sacrifice?
In this space, you'll encounter stories from majestic creatures of rivers and sky gods.
Each tale will transport you from treetops and mountain peaks to the depths of caves, inviting you to sit under the shade of a tree or listen to the music of fantastical beings.
Together, they offer a captivating glimpse into the extraordinary planet we call home, where Earth is the true protagonist in all its myriad forms.
Threadings
My hope is that:
This space will foster dialogue among voices and perspectives, enabling individuals to remember their roots and how they inform their present.
We'll engage in conversations that prompt us to consider how we want to navigate the world and what contributions we aspire to make.
In this space, we'll embrace enchantment and remain open to rediscovering a sense of wonder for the precious gift of life.
How it works
You'll receive an email each week with a link to the items below. We actively encourage you to share your reflections on the broader themes embedded in the stories, whether through text, video, or other form of expression.
