Explore Stories At The Intersection Of Culture Community And The Environment

Yuniya is committed to addressing critical global issues using storytelling as an instrument of change.

We believe that stories play an important role in passing down values, knowledge, and customs that build global communities with shared interests.

Stories influence how we understand and think about ourselves, affecting how we interact with others and the world.

African Mythology And The Environment

Since ancient times, the African oral storytelling tradition has been rooted in the natural world and is woven out of the human experience.

In this project, children and parents will discover chosen African mythologies with the environment as the key theme.

From these stories of intersectionality, we learn the importance of an intricate balance between people and the world around them.

Through these tales, children will also learn about other ecosystems, the people who live in these areas, how our actions impact their daily lives and how we can act as pillars for the future we hope to see.
