Activity Sheets

For the challenge, we’ve uploaded mini-lessons, easy-to-use printables and how-to guides that simplify activities and gives kids the tools they need to succeed in the four key stages of writing the story.

The activities work for kids at varying age levels, so whether your kids are eight or your kids are twelve, they will have fun with the activities. All you have to do is print them out and get started!

LISTENING ACTIVITIES

Objective: Listening to the repetitive patterns of the story.

Recall, interpret, and summarize the information presented orally by engaging in the storytelling sessions.

PREWRITE ACTIVITIES

Work together to decide exactly what will go in the book. This is an opportunity for kids to set their imagination alight, reimagine and put their own fresh twist on the story.

COMPOSE ACTIVITIES

Work together to physically write the text.
