A space for children to explore, to ask questions, a space to nurture
imagination, and a space to embark on exciting journeys.
Africa has a vibrant theme of storytelling. The myths, legends, folktales and fables whisk you away from mountain caves to treetops, the land to the open seas.
On Yuniya, we rediscover, reimagine and retell the stories of African mythological creatures and legends.
Our unique multimedia approach transforms storytelling into a dynamic experience. Children on Yuniya explore and experience carefully selected African mythologies through captivating narratives.
We bring these tales to life with interactive elements, creating an immersive learning experience.
Making Reading And Writing Fun
We firmly believe in the transformative potential of young people as a force for good. Our mission is to actively engage, equip, and empower a new generation of young voices. The creative writing component in our workshops grants children the empowering ability to express their ideas with confidence and creativity.
Join us for inspiring family storytelling, visual experiences, and engaging activities. We run monthly workshops every last Sunday of the month.
Beyond The Tales
Space to cultivate a sense of responsibility towards our planet within the hearts of our community. Space for children to explore and learn about the world around them.
Inspired by chosen African mythologies from the story collection on Yuniya, children and young people learn more about the mythological creature's home.
Activities inspired by the story of Malachi Place
The Kind Club shares stories and books to engage, empower, educate, and celebrate empathy, diversity, and equality.
In the Kind Club, children will learn what kindness is, how to put their heart into action and why it is so important to be kind.
These stories about acts of kindness and empathy help children see how they can positively impact the world.
We believe that meaningful impacts on climate change will stem from connections and communication across the globe.
At Yuniya, we focus on creating a bridge for personal connections.
How do we do this?
Through storytelling, education, and co-creation.
We do this by connecting children and their parents to the people and places currently facing the effects of climate change, creating a space for co-creation rooted in storytelling.
