Why We Exist
Many young people are disconnected from the language, networks and experiences that lead to creative and environmental futures.
We exist to change that — not through one-off workshops, but through long-term learning rooted in story, place and participation.
Our philosophy is simple: when young people are trusted to observe, question, make and contribute, they develop the confidence to shape their own futures.
What We Believe
Learning Through Lived Experience
We believe the most meaningful learning happens when people are connected to their environment, their community and their own stories.
Education should not be something done to young people. It should be something built with them — through participation, observation, reflection and creative response.
When learning is grounded in real places, real stories and real relationships, it stays with people. It shapes how they see themselves and the world around them.
This is why our work begins with storytelling and place, not with outcomes and targets.

Core Belief
Education As Care
We see education as an act of care — for people, place, culture and the natural world.
Care means creating spaces where young people can slow down, notice, question and reflect. It means trusting the process of learning rather than rushing toward fixed results.
It means valuing what someone observes in a local park as much as what they produce in a workshop. And it means recognising that confidence, curiosity and belonging are outcomes worth designing for.
This is not a philosophy we arrived at in theory. It is something we have learned through years of working alongside communities in Southwark and Lambeth.

Our work is rooted in Southwark and Lambeth. These are not just locations — they are the landscapes where our learning takes shape.
Local parks, streets, rivers and community spaces become active sites for observation, storytelling and creative response.
We believe that when people understand the place they live in, they begin to understand themselves. And when they see themselves reflected in the stories around them, they develop a sense of belonging that changes how they engage with the world.
